Once again a steady trajectory of growth for the Breckenridge and Summit County real estate market is confirmed by the 2016 first quarter real estate statistics. Real estate remains a strong investment in spite of the complexities in the marketplace. Currently in Breckenridge and Summit County limited inventory restricts Buyers choices.  Active listings in Breckenridge are down, 34 percent. The Breckenridge, Summit and Park Counties real estate markets continue to thrive.  Breckenridge Associates Real Estate monthly market overview keeps on indicating that owning mountain property is highly desirable.  For the entire year of 2014, total residential properties sales in Breckenridge totaled 655.  We have already surpassed that number with 660 residential transactions closing through the end of November.  Likely the 2015 residential sales will finish by outperforming 2014 by almost 17% due to the 145 pending sales.  Solid and climbing sales numbers are a strong indicator that the market is on a positive trajectory. The local real estate market in Breckenridge and Summit County continues to show strong signs of stability.  Reduced inventory and a strong Buyer demand has resulted in impressive sales numbers year to date.  Many of the current statistics are comparable to the record high 2007 numbers, prior to the housing recession. The number of residential properties that have sold in 2015, in Breckenridge and Summit County, has been spectacular.  Year to date, the Breckenridge residential market has outperformed 2014 by almost 12 percent; 605 residential properties were sold as of October 31st, 2015.   The number of active listings has decreased to an all time low, with only 273 active listings at the beginning of November 2015.  This compares to 673 for the same…

As we approach the end of the Breckenridge real estate selling season, the local market statistics indicate we had a favorable summer this year compared to years past. August and September 2015, were both remarkable. The number of properties sold and dollar volume sold outperformed anything else on record.  Year-to-date, the total number of residential properties sold in Breckenridge totaled 517 compared to only 454 for the same time period in 2014.  This year has outperformed the previous year by almost 14 percent.  Even though the number of showings continues to dwindle, down 11.5 percent for the month of September, residential properties in the area continue to sell.  In most sectors of the residential market, the average sales price has increased,…

Fall is officially here!  The leaves are starting to turn gold and the nights are getting cold.  It would not be surprising if in the coming weeks, we wake up to a dusting of snow on the mountain tops.  As autumn begins, we can take a look back at how the summer real estate market performed.

Summer is beginning to wind down and Town of Breckenridge will start to return to its normal quaint self. As the Breckenridge and Summit County real estate statistics emerge, there are hints that it was another positive selling season.
