Ski Season is Open

November 8, 2019  - 8-11:30pm  (& Nov. 17)

Presented by: Breckenridge Ski Resort

Opening day for the Breckenridge Ski Resort. After the ski day, the Riverwalk Center offers a Breckenridge Opening Day Boogie Woogie featuring Jamaican reggae and dancehall artist Yaksta with special guests Split Window and TLooP. Presented by World Music Development in partnership with Breckenridge Grand Vacations, ten percent of the gross ticket sales will be donated to Summit Habitat for Humanity.

On the official Breckenridge Ski Resort “Snow Dance”, previously announced opening day, Sunday, November 17, will include a free concert, giveaways and all-day activities sponsored by Mountain Dew. Join the fun at the South Gondola Lot.

 

12th Annual Wassail Days - Frisco

November 30 - December 8, 2019

Presented by: Town of Frisco

Frisco local businesses serve up their own secret version of wassail. Guests are encouraged to taste at least 12 different types of wassail at 12 different locations and fill their “12 Sips of Wassail Card.” Once the “12 Sips” card is filled out guests can turn them in at the Frisco/Copper Visitor Information Center in exchange for a commemorative Frisco Wassail Days mug, while supplies last.

 

Lighting of Breckenridge - Race of the Santas

For many decades, the first weekend of December the holiday lights go on in Breckenridge. A parade of folks dressed up as Santa Claus lead others who want to start the holiday season with a party.

 

Ullr Fest - in December

December 11, 2019 (Wednesday)

Crowning of the Ullr King and Queen

Location: Riverwalk Center, Breckenridge

Continuing 58 years of tradition, two local residents are chosen as the Ullr King and Queen for their contributions in the community and their love of snow. Time:  Doors Open 6:00pm | Crowning at 6:30pm

 

Breck’s Got Talent

Location: Riverwalk Center, Breckenridge

Show begins after crowning of Ullr royalty

Local radio station, Always Mountain Time, hosts a town-wide talent show at the Riverwalk Center. The first 200 attendees will receive a free beer!

 

December 12, 2019 (Thursday)

Unofficial World Record Attempt For World’s Longest ShotSki - 4 pm

Join the Breckenridge Distillery and the Breckenridge Mountain Rotary on December 12, 2019 in their quest to win back the unofficial world record for longest shotski.

We are looking for 1,299 people to help us beat the current world record held by Park City, UT! Grab your friends (age 21+) and sign up today to join Breckenridge during Ullr Fest and be part of the world record Ullr shot!

Cost: $10, to participate.  All proceeds benefit the Breckenridge Mountain Rotary

Must be 21 years old to participate, and check in is at the Riverwalk Center to get your ID checked, entry sticker, and shot glass. Check in begins at 1:00pm-3:30pm. At 3:45pm, please meet on Main Street!

Ullr Parade - 4:30 pm

The Ullr Fest Parade celebrate the joy of winter taking over Main Street. There will be cash prizes for the most creative float, and they are often crazy efforts to get the prize money.

 

Friday, December 13

Ullr Ice Plunge - 2-4 pm

Location: Main Street Station Plaza. Registration

Endurance and dedication to the cold happens here at the Ullr Ice Plunge. Plunge into the frozen depths of the Maggie Pond and fully immerse yourself in winter’s chill.  Prizes for the Best Plunge Costume. Music, food, drinks and laughs and cheers to the participants. There will be a heated changing room and even a hot tub open to anyone willing to accept the Plunge Challenge.

 

Comedy Night - 8 pm. Doors open at 7 pm

Riverwalk Center

Come laugh out loud with professional stand-up comedians Jim Colliton and Geoff Tice at Ullr Fest’s Comedy Night. All proceeds from this event benefit the Carriage House Early Learning Center.  Sponsored by Town of Breckenridge, BGV Gives and First Bank. Produced in partnership with Breckenridge Creative Arts and Breckenridge Tourism Office.

Advance $25 per ticket   |  Day of $30 per ticket

 

Saturday, December 14

Ice Skating Party - 1:15 to 3 pm

Steven C. West Ice Arena

Free afternoon of ice skating and free kids Ullr helmet decorating. Hosted by the Breckenridge Ambassadors.

Ticket Prices: Free Entry, $4 Skate Rental

 

Reception at Arts Alive Gallery - 4 to 7 pm

Arts Alive Gallery

Display and sell boards/skis at the Summit County Arts Councils co-op gallery space.

 

Sunday, December 15

Live Performance from The Wood Brothers - 7:30pm (Doors at 7)

Riverwalk Center

Breck Music presents The Wood Brothers. The Wood Brothers are an American folk band consisting of brothers Chris and Oliver Wood, as well as multi-instrumentalist Jano Rix.

Cost: $41 advance /$46 day-of-show.
