Fall is officially here!  The leaves are starting to turn gold and the nights are getting cold.  It would not be surprising if in the coming weeks, we wake up to a dusting of snow on the mountain tops.  As autumn begins, we can take a look back at how the summer real estate market performed.

The Breckenridge and Summit County real estate market has remained strong throughout the summer months of 2015.  We are continuing to see that Buyers are in the marketplace, looking to call Breckenridge and Summit County home. Each month,  Breckenridge Assoicates Real Estate compiles a full report of the most recent statisitics from MLS data.

• Year-to-date, the Breckenridge real estate market had over an 8 percent increase in the number of sales compared to the same time as 2014.
• Year-to-date, the Summit and Park County real estate market had an impressive summer with sales outshining last year by over 19 percent, compared to the same time as 2014.
• Single family homes and condominiums in Breckenridge saw a large increase in the number of sales in throughout 2015, with an increase of 5.48 percent and 14.94 percent, respectively.
• The number of showings for the month of August 2015 was down 34 percent compared to August 2014.  Buyers are ready to make the move quickly to get settled in the perfect mountain home.

In addition to the remarkable sales numbers, the inventory continues to plummet.  At the beginning on September 2014, there were 1,500+ residential properties available in Summit and Park County.  At the start of this month, there are only 1,000+ residential properties active in the MLS.  Prices continue to inch their way up, so get into the marketplace before the snow blankets the ground.
