USA Pro Challenge Returning to Breckenridge!

Breckenridge is a host city again for the annual return of the USA Pro Cycling Challenge.  For seven days, the world's top cyclists with ride through majestic Rockies, reaching extreme elevations and enduring the mountain passes.  In its fourth year, the USA Pro Cycling Challenging is one of the largest cycling events in U.S. history and will have some of the best professional cyclists competing.  This race is amazing and you don't want to miss it!  If you plan on joining in on the fun, make your plans early because this is one of the largest spectator event that takes place.

Breckenridge and Summit County Residential Statistics for May 2014 versus May 2013

The Breckenridge residential market is remaining stable as the summer buying season begins.  At the end of May 2014, residential sales are outperforming the same period in 2013 by 5.19 percent. Currently, the number of active listings is significantly lower than in past years.  Heading into the summer buying and selling season, Sellers will be seeing less competition, increasing their chances to get a better sales price.  Buyers will have less inventory, so getting all the bells and whistles, for the price they are willing to spend, may be more difficult.  Showings were down significantly, 21.37 percent, year-to-date, through the end of May.

Independence Day 10K Trail Run, 7 am

Summit County Ranks in the Top for Highest Life Expectancy

According to a recent study completed by the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation in Seattle, they ranked top areas throughout the United States for the highest life expectancy.  Summit County is one out of five counties in Colorado with the highest life expectancy.  The county ranked ninth overall in the longest lift expectancy for men.

Breckenridge and Summit County Real Estate Statistics: April 2013 vs. April 2014

Springtime is quickly slipping away to summer.  The temperatures are starting to warm up and the snow is melting.  Soon, the only trace of winter that will be left is a few patches on the Ten Mile Range.  The first quarter statistics showed that the Breckenridge and Summit County markets were on track for a better year.  The month of April was a bit slower than the previous months, but that is typical as the visitors leave town and Breckenridge returns to quiet a mountain town.
