For over 19 years, the Town of Breckenridge hosts the annual Breckenridge Town Party to thank the locals for all their dedicated work during the winter. It is also a time to kickoff the start of summer in the high country- one of the best seasons there is! This summer, join us at the Riverwalk Center on Friday, June 13th, 2014, from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Enjoy free music, by the Wheeler Brothers, socializing, Town Photo, and much more fun for the entire family! There will be food and drinks available for purchase. So pack your picnic blanket and camping chairs…join us for a beautiful summer evening.Â
Following the Town Party, on Saturday and Sunday, June 14th and 15th, join the town of Breckenridge for Kingdom Days. This celebration kicks off summer celebrating the mining days of Breckenridge.  The growing tradition of Kingdom Days is the Outhouse Races. Spectators line the street and cheer on teams that have constructed their own outhouse to push and pull across the finish line. This is a silly event that brings along with it, a lot of laughter. If you decide to participate, you can try to win a seat on the Gold Throne, the Silver Moon or the Bronze Bucket. It is a great, and unique, way to celebrate Father’s Day.
The entire weekend is full a fun events. The National Repertory Orchestra performs their opening night concert, along with opening day at the Breckenridge Peak 8 Fun Park, and the gondola beings its summer operation schedule. For a full lineup
