The most beloved event in Breckenridge returns for another year! The International Snow Sculpture Competition (ISSC) creates a temporary but magnificent outdoor museum in the center of town. Some of the finest snow sculptors in the world gather in Breckenridge, Colorado for the International Snow Sculpture Competition. Traveling from as far as Germany and Ecuador, the sculptures face the daunting task of transforming a twelve-foot high, 50,000-pound cube of packed snow into an elusive and delicate work of art in just five days using only simple tools and human intellect.
