Who is Ullr?
Ullr has been an infamous character around Breckenridge since Breckenridge Ski Resort was founded in 1961. You’ve probably noticed his 25-foot metal statue on Peak 8 and heard his name around town.
Ullr, the Norse God of Snow, was brought to Breck by the two Norwegian friends who founded the resort. Known for his incredible archery and skiing skills, Ullr would travel the land on skis, hunting with his bow. Every winter, Ullr would cover the earth in snow every winter to protect it from harm. Ullr Fest was born as a celebration of the fresh powder and good winter tidings Ullr brings to Breckenridge each year.
Grab your Viking hat and join us at the 59th annual Ullr Fest, December 8-10, for the Main Street parade, the world’s longest recorded Shotski®, and impressive Ullr Bonfire!
2022 Ullr Fest schedule
Thursday, December 8th:
Crowning of the Ullr King and Queen
Kicking off the celebrations will be the crowing of the Ullr Fest King and Queen. Chosen for their phenomenal contributions to Breckenridge's local community and their unwavering love of powder days, the King and Queen of Ullr Fest represent what Breckenridge stands for at its core - a deep devotion to our beautiful mountain and the send it spirit.

Location: Blue River Plaza
Cost: Free
Fun Fact: Breckenridge Associate's very own Rob Neyland and his wife, Deb, were crowned Ullr King and Queen in 2010!

World’s Longest Shotski®
Sponsored by the Breckenridge Distillery and Breckenridge Mountain Rotary, we are on a mission to beat Park City, Utah in the unofficial world record for longest Shotski®!
Time: 4:00 PM start, 3:45 PM line-up
Location: Main Street
Cost: $15 (all proceeds benefit the Breckenridge Mountain Rotary)

Ullr Parade
Possibly one of the most anticipated events of Ullr Fest, come cheer on teams as they show off their awe-inspiring floats in the Ullr Parade! Cash prizes will be awarded for the best float - $1000.00 for 1st place, $750.00 for 2nd place and $500.00 for 3rd place.
Time: Parade starts at 4:30 PM
Location: Main Street. Parade starts at the 300 block of N. Main Street, heading south towards the Tiger Dredge parking lot.
Cost: Free to attend and participate.

Ullr Bonfire
The town bonfire is a sight to be seen! Considered the ultimate homage to Ullr, the party continues with a DJ as the town gathers together to burn Christmas trees from years past and stoke the love for winter in Breckenridge that we all carry inside us.
Time: 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
Location: East Sawmill Parking Lot
Friday, December 9th:
Ullr Comedy Night
Actor and comedian, Jimmy Dunn, will be performing this year. All proceeds will go to benefit Breckenridge's Carriage House Early Learning Center.
Time: Doors open at 7:30 PM. Show starts at 8:00 PM.
Location: Riverwalk Center
Tickets: $25
Saturday, December 10th:
Ullr Ice Skating Party
Continue the family friendly activities with an Ullr Ice Skating Party!
Time: 2:30 PM – 4 PM
Location: Stephen C. West Ice Arena
Cost: $4.00 Skate Rental
Winter Ice Skating Show
This holiday themed show is perfect for all ages and includes performances by local youth and adult figure skaters.
Time: Doors open at 5:30 PM, show starts at 6:00 PM
Location: Stephen C West Ice Arena
Cost: $10 per ticket. Kids ages 3 and under are free.
