For the last week of 2010, residential sales continued on pace with the previous weeks around the Christmas holiday. All in all, the year ended very well. The number of sales for all of Summit County increased over 2009, and dollar volume was up as well. To all, Happy New Year!! May 2011 be filled with Good Health, Joy, and More Peace around the World.

While we are still concerned about the overall state of the economy, 2010 was better than 2009 regarding real estate here in Breckenridge, Summit County, and other resort areas such as Aspen and Vail. We knew that the number of sales in Breckenridge and Summit County had increased over 2009,but it felt like the dollar volume was lower due to the average sales prices declining. It appears that dollar volume has increased over 2009, and all indicators show that this trend may continue.

The real estate activity for Residential properties in Breckenridge held steady compared to the previous week. 6 residences sold, 2 of which were Breckenridge Associates Real Estate listings, and 10 residences went under contract.

There were 13 price reductions and those of note are:
