International Snow Sculpture Championships

Founded in Breckenridge 30 years ago and proudly sponsored by Breckenridge Associates since the beginning, the International Snow Sculpture Championships will be held in downtown Breckenridge January 20 through 29, 2020.

This year’s event attracted 42 applications, and without doubt, the 16 teams selected from this extensive and talented field will create the most exciting and competitive event ever produced. Participating teams represent 12 countries: Argentina, China, Ecuador, France, Germany, Great Britain, Mexico, Mongolia, India, Switzerland and Turkey, as well as four U. S. teams including our very own Team Breckenridge!

Mortgage Rates Looking Forward & nbsp;

Current U.S. Mortgage rates are favorable and top economists predict that rates for the end of 2019 will average between 3.8 percent and 4 percent for 30-year fixed rates. According to Freddie Mac, only one year ago in 2018, a 30-year fixed rate mortgage was 4.81 percent, thus showing a sharp decline in today’s rates. It’s interesting to note that in a year-over-year comparison for the week ending November 21, 2019, 30-year rates stood at 3.66 percent. In addition, mortgages have shown a steady decline throughout 2019, with the historic low for 30-year rates at 3.31 percent in November 2012.

Team Breck Sports Club ‘President’s Club’ Provides Key Support to Local Athletes  

Team Breck Sports Club has been an integral part of the Breckenridge community for more than 30 years, serving youth skiing and snowboarding athletes of Summit County and the Front Range. The Team Breck Sports Club coaching staff provides expert experience and guidance to encourage young athletes to reach their goals both on and off the mountain. A variety of disciplines are offered, including alpine skiing, freeride skiing and big mountain skiing.
