It’s often said that everyone comes to Breckenridge for the winters, but they stay for the summers. Whether this is your first or you’ve been spending summers in Breck since you were a kid, it doesn’t take long to realize we’re surrounded by beautiful views in every direction. What better way to take in the stunning mountain vistas than relaxing on a patio while enjoying delicious food and the company of friends and family after a day of adventuring?

We’ve compiled a list of restaurants with patios that offer some of the best views Breckenridge has to offer, dig in!

1. Kenosha Breck

Located right on Main Street in Breckenridge, the Kenosha Breck is a quintessential Breckenridge hangout with one of the best patios in town. Enjoy one of the 32 beers on tap while sitting out on their all-season patio. Bringing your dog along? Kenosha Breck offers a special “paw-tio” menu just for your furry friend.

Kenosha Breck does not take reservations, all seating is on a first come, first served basis.

What the locals order: Brewhouse Pretzels and the Ten Mile Nachos with a Root Beer Float.

2. Bird & Cow

Just like their name, the menu at Bird & Cow is heavy on the chicken and burger options – although there are salad options for the non-meat eaters. Take in stunning ski area views while sipping one of their “Barnyard Cocktails” and digging into one of their tasty menu offerings. In keeping with tradition, we recommend that orders of the margarita be careful if they do not know what they’re getting themselves into.

Bird & Cow closes yearly for mud season, make sure to check their website first if you are visiting during the month of May or in early June. Bird & Cow does not take reservations. If seating is full, you can add your name to the waitlist in person or on their website, and they will contact you when a table opens.

3. South Ridge Seafood Grill

South Ridge Seafood Grill is undoubtedly Summit County’s favorite seafood restaurant. Known for their deliciously fresh seafood and rooftop deck, South Ridge Seafood Grill serves up an elegant dining experience surrounded by expansive mountain views. Enjoy live music by Acoustic Moose with your meal on Wednesdays and Fridays during the summer.

South Ridge Seafood Grill is closed until June 1st for mud season. Reservations are recommended.

What the locals order: A Cup of Love with the Toasted La Francaise Bakery Baguette and the Crispy Shrimp appetizers. For dinner the Grilled Rocky Mountain Trout or the Teriyaki Glazed Ahi.

4. Breckenridge Tap House

If you’re looking for a casual, dog friendly patio with quality food and beautiful views, you’ll find it at the Breckenridge Tap House. Not only does Breckenridge Tap House have an impressive 37 beers on tap daily, they also offer a unique menu of gourmet Mexican food, slow baked wings, and exotic sausages – all enjoyable on their back patio. Order the Best of the Wurst to choose your own sausage adventure. Flavors range from traditional spicy Italian to options like wild boar with apricots and cranberry, smoked buffalo or smoked elk jalapeño cheddar, or if you’re feeling extra adventurous, try their rabbit and rattlesnake jalapeño brat.

5. Hearthstone

Take your elevated dining experience outdoors on Hearthstone’s front patio. The romantic ambiance found inside Hearthstone flows outside to their patio. Tucked back from the street and surrounded by seasonal flowers with twinkling lights strung overhead, Hearthstone’s patio provides privacy without blocking gorgeous views of the Ten Mile Range. Hearthstone offers an extensive menu, featuring sustainably sourced meats and seafood and locally grown produce.

Hearthstone will be closed from April 30th until May 17th for mud season. Reservations are recommended.

6. Quandary Tequila Bar

Try one of Quandary Tequila Bistro’s 100 Tequilas while taking in views of Peak 9, Peak 10, and Maggie Pond on their pet friendly deck. Their Main Street Station Plaza location makes them an easy stop when hanging out around town. Grab your friends for an afternoon of paddleboarding then hop over to Quandary Tequila Bistro for 25% off appetizers and plenty of drink specials during their daily happy hour from 3 pm to 5.
