High Country Golfing in Breckenridge

The Breckenridge Golf Course is a premier mountain course and is one of four Summit County golf resorts. The Jack Nicklaus signature course is a high altitude course at 9,324 feet where golf balls have less resistance and can travel further driving off the tee. This summer golf calendar includes events from social to competitive, designed for all levels of players and those who want to improve their level of play. Fantastic views and wildlife sightings make this course a favorite for golf enthusiasts and spectators alike.

Men’s and Women’s Leagues: The Breckenridge Golf Club Men’s and Women’s Leagues offer competition for resident golfers ages 18-80+ throughout the summer season. Competitions include individual, 2-person and 4-person games. Both leagues have grown tremendously in the past year with the influx of new residents. Registration begins each year in April. The women’s league still has openings available for summer 2022.

Lessons: Fundamentals for beginners or advanced skill training from PGA professionals are offered at Breckenridge Golf Course. Private, group and youth sessions are available, as well as clinics for ages 6-13 and adult “Get Golf Ready” lessons all summer long. Practice facilities include a large grass practice tee, putting/chipping greens and one sand bunker for sand skills.

Family Fun: Five-hole family night is an affordable way to introduce children to golf in a mountain setting with the option of walking or riding in a cart. Scoring is not important, but fun is! A five-hole game takes 1-1/2 hours on average making this an ideal family outing. Ages 5-13 play for free. Individual or families can also purchase a half or full bucket of balls and spend time on the driving range practicing their golf swing or simply hitting balls for recreation.

Social Events: Enjoy mixing golf with wine at a Nine and Wine event. Sample and learn about a select wine at every three holes (3 in total). There are six upcoming Nine and Wine events for Summer 2022. Four mixed team, 18-hole competitive events are also on the calendar. Grab a partner and participate in a Twosome Shamble.

For Locals: There are two programs available to ensure Breckenridge and Summit County locals can secure a tee time to get out on the course at an affordable rate. The Resident Punch Card is valid for ten 18-hole games. Tee times for locals are bookable four days in advance. For the resident golfer who doesn’t get out on the course often, “Locals Days” is offered twice monthly and once in September at the lowest rate of $45 without a cart to residents of Summit and Park Counties.

For Everyone: Even if only one member in a family wants to play a full game of golf, the others can still join the fun by simply riding along in the cart and enjoying the scenery. Full-menu food and drinks are available through the Clubhouse Restaurant and on-course cart service. The Breckenridge Golf Clubhouse can also serve as a beautiful setting for weddings, special occasion, dinners, corporate retreats or reunions. Views from the patio are stunning!

The Breckenridge Golf Course is open all summer with tee times starting as early as 6:30 am. Book online or call (970) 453-9104 for more information.
