Residential Build Out in Summit County

The Summit County Planning Department conducted what is called a Residential Buildout Analysis to attempt to answer those questions. The study provided actual and projected numbers for how much development has occurred and how much remains to be built.

The New Freedom Superchair on Peak 7

Now in our last month of summer, ski season buzz is inevitably on the way. It’s been 8 years since Breckenridge Ski Resort unveiled something new on the mountain, so the new Peak 7 chair is highly anticipated, especially by those who love skiing and riding Peaks 6 and 7. With the postponement of construction now behind us, the new chair is set to debut for the 2021-2022 ski season. Last month, Breckenridge Ski Resort announced the new lift will be named the Freedom SuperChair. “Freedom and Independence. 2021 Summer Update

The slopes are closed and the summer vibes are coming in strong. We’ve got the comprehensive summer forecast on fun here in Breckenridge for Summer 2021.  

Many of the most popular summer activities are already underway:  the Vail Pass shuttles are running, both Frisco and Dillon marinas are open for watercraft rentals, and horses are carrying riders up the mountain on Peak 9. The Breckenridge Rec Center and Stephen C West Ice Rink are fully open and operating.

Summit County River Recreation Guide
