With all the great snow this season, the real estate market is remaining stable going into March 2014.Â
In February, the Breckenridge real estate market saw a 23.6% increase in the number of residential sales. The single family homes are down slightly year-to-date, -7.4%, with only 13 properties selling for the month compared to 16 sold in February 2013. The duplex market had no sales in February, compared to 1 sale for the same time last year. The condo market in Breckenridge still seems to be strong.   In the month of February 2014, 21 condos sold versus 14 selling in 2013. Currently, the Breckenridge condo market is ahead 28%, year-to-date. Townhouse sales have been stellar so far this year. There have been 5 townhome sales for the month of February.
The Summit County real estate market is remaining stable, only -1.69% below last year’s February totals. The single family market saw the largest hit with a decrease in the number of sales year-to-date down, -21.84%. In February, 31 single family homes sold compared to 48 sold in February 2013. Only 1 duplex sold in February 2013, along with 45 condos, and 11 townhouses.
