According to a recent article posted by BBC News, the US economy experienced an annualized growth of 5.9% in the last quarter of 2009. The prediction of many economists is that growth in GDP will continue the first half of 2010 and then slow again for the second half. The Gondola Lot Plan development is a step closer to fruition with approval of the overall plan from Breckenridge Town Council provided January 2010. The vision has been a collaborative effort between Vail Resorts Development Company (VRDC) and the Town of Breckenridge to ensure the last major development for Breckenridge will create an authentic “Breckenridge” story, staying true to the existing character of the town.

You do not always have to "pay to park" and access skiing and riding at Breckenridge Ski Resort. Parking at the Gondola North, Gondola South and Gold Rush Lots is free during the week if you carpool with 4+ friends, and the cost increases to just $5 on the weekends. Parking at most Breckenridge paid lots is free after 2pm and the Airport Road Lot is free all day, every day.

We're coming off of a fabulous weekend of snow that just seems to continue, up here in Summit County, Colorado. We couldn't be happier with getting our powder fix! In fact, it's coming down outside right now - as we post this blog.

Most of the local resorts (Breckenridge, Keystone and Copper Mountain resorts) were at or near capacity for the President's Day Weekend and the snow was the best of the season. In fact, Breckenridge has received more than 2 feet of snow in the past 2 weeks!

It seems that snow is the message across the country the past couple of weeks with snow in 49 out of 50 states, so we hope you're in the spirit. We're looking forward to seeing more of you Winter Warriors in Breckenridge and Summit County this ski…

Congratulations to all the snow sculpting teams at this year's event. The display of talent for this 20th year was truly spectacular. Breckenridge Associates Real Estate is very proud of our own Team Breck's snow art masterpiece, titled "String Theory". They, of course, were the big winners in our book!
