Summertime is the peak of selling season.  The end of September statistics help to provide a picture of how the real estate market performed this summer.  Here is our monthly update on the real estate market in Breckenridge and Summit County.

The number of active listings are a great indicator as to how well the market is performing.  This year, the inventory at the end of the summer was less than previous years.  At the end of this summer, there were only 512 active residential properties in Breckenridge.  For the same time in 2012, we still had 551 residential properties active.   The sales price are also remaining stable, and in some cases, they have started to increase.  The averages sales price has increased for condos and…

The number of homes that have sold continues to rise, along with the mortgage rates.  With rates rising, cash deals are becoming even more popular.  Many of these cash buyers are luxury buyers and international investors.  Better Homes and Garden conducted one of largest surveys on luxury owners, and you will be surprised with the results.
