Secret Stash- July 4th Celebration
We've compiled a list of 4th of July (Thursday) happenings around Summit County for the day. Hope you can join in the fun of this special celebration in the mountains.

BRECKENRIDGE

Independence Day 10K Trail Run, 7 am
This scenic 10k trail running race offers up some of the best views in the Breckenridge area, while finishing just in time to catch the Main Street parade and other festivities. Register at www.townofbreckenridge.com or call 970.453.1734.

The Firecracker 50 Mountain Bike Race, 9:30 am
This mountain bike race launches the 4th of July Parade in front of thousands of spectators. Come cheer on riders as they embark on a 50 mile journey on the beautiful trails in and surrounding the Breckenridge area. Register early as this race fills up very quickly. Race will take place on Main Street. For more information www.mavsports.com.

Fourth of July Garden Party - Annual Breckenridge Heritage, 9 am
Alliance Garden Party at the Barney Ford House Museum. Enjoy coffee, mimosas, and breakfast spread as you watch the Breckenridge Fourth of July Parade in style from the best view on Main Street. Call, 970.453.9767, for details (reservation required/24 hour cancellation policy).

Main Street Parade, 10 am
The official parade will start with the Firecracker 50 Mountain Bike Race, at 9:30 am and it will take 800+ riders ½ hour to get down Main Streets in waves. Parade registration please call 970.453.5055. Reading of the Declaration of Independence by George Washington (C.J. Muller) – Following the parade in the Blue River Plaza.

Kids Water Fight – Kids can join the Red, White & Blue Fire Dept., 12:30-2:30 pm
An old time water fight on Main Street. Free for kids to participate. A hit every year.

Viper ‘Show and Shine’, 12:30-3 pm
Vipers will be parked on Main Street allowing spectators to view the cars.

Far View Horse Rescue 4th of July Pony Rides, 12:30-3 pm
Come join the fun and ride one of Far View Horse Rescue's three beautiful ponies. Far View Horse Rescue's Breckenridge/Fairplay horse rescue rehabilitates rescued horses with caring volunteers and provides horsemanship education, resulting in the successful placement of horses.

Free Concert: at the Riverwalk Center, 2 pm
The Riverwalk Center will be having a great band this year, but they can not announce until June 8 due to boring and pesky contractual reasons. But remember they are the folks who in the past years brought you free 4th of July concerts featuring Blind Boys of Alabama, Big Bad Voodo Daddy, Rusted Root and many other great acts so you will definitely not be disappointed this year. We anticipate happy, dancing crowds! Riverwalk Center, free – no tickets needed please no dogs or other pets on the Riverwalk Center lawn. National Repertory Orchestra: 4th of July Patriotic Concert, 8:30 pm For almost 20 years, the Town of Breckenridge and National Repertory Orchestra (NRO) have collaborated to present a Patriotic Concert each July 4th at the Riverwalk Center in Breckenridge, CO. In order to prevent numerous empty seats seen each year due to unused free tickets and in order to offer tickets online at a greater convenience to all of our guests, this year the Riverwalk Center Box Office will sell indoor reserved seat tickets at a cost of $5, $10 and $15. There will be a limit of 5 tickets per order. All proceeds will be split between the National Repertory Orchestra and the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center (www.boec.org).

Tickets will be made available for sale online and in person at the Riverwalk Center Box Office located at 150 West Adams Avenue on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Noon. Phone orders will ONLY be accepted at 970-547-3100 after the Riverwalk Center Box Office has served guests waiting in line. The NRO Patriotic concert will be at 8:30pm on July 4th in the Riverwalk Center with doors opening at 8pm. Lawn seating will remain free and will not require a ticket- first come, first seated.

Fireworks, 9:30 pm (weather permitting)
Fireworks will be set off from the center of town with the Ten Mile Range as the backdrop. They will be visible from most spots around town.

DILLON
4th of July Boat Parade, 3-3:30 pm

4th of July Celebration at Town Park & Marina Park, 10 am - 10 pm
Join us for a full day of fun to celebrate our independence. The day kicks off with the National Repertory Orchestra playing the Dillon Ampitheatre at 10 am. From there, head over to Town Park with the kids for an afternoon of bike decorating, and parade, concerts and fun for the whole family.  Save your energy, because at 2 pm head back at the ampitheatre with the Stormcellars and at 7 pm, welcome The Dirty Dozen Brass Band all the way from New Orleans, to the stage.  It'll be a night of dancing you won't forget and of course it culminates with fireworks over the Frisco Marina at around 9:30 pm. KEYSTONE

Keystone’s 4th of July Celebration, All Day
Featuring a day full of events ranging from a Kids Free Fishing Derby, to our Bike Parade and Block Party and a night of fireworks, Keystone is the place to be this summer. Finish the night with a fireworks display over Keystone Lake at 9 pm, weather permitting. Free parking is available at the Keystone Lodge Parking Lot just off Hwy 6 across from the Keystone Lodge. Take the underground tunnel to the Village. Call 800-354-4386 for more information.
