From gondola-side bars and fire-kissed pizzas to sweet treats at the base of a Peak, several new spots are redefining what and where we eat after a day on the slopes. Whether you're craving a casual sandwich, something elevated, or a playful dessert, here's a look at some of the newest additions you’ll want to try this season:
Shifty Lifty

Shifty Lifty is a vibrant new bar and restaurant just steps from the Breckenridge Gondola. The concept blends vintage Breckenridge culture with hearty sandwiches, full-service cocktails, and a welcoming après-ski vibe. It’s the kind of place where you can make your way down from the mountain and slide right up to the bar.
Location: 301 N Main St, Breckenridge
Hours: Up until ski season, Shifty Lifty is open everyday 11:00 am to 9:00 pm. In winter, breakfast service starts around 8:30 am.

Happy Hour / Specials: Shifty Lifty extends a 15% locals’ discount on food and drinks all year long—a nod to the Breckenridge community that inspired it. The team is also developing early-day specials and exclusive promotions for mountain employees, making it a go-to spot for locals and ski industry pros alike.
What to Order: Try “The Full Send” - a hearty Italian-style sub, or the “Powder Police” with bacon, pesto, garlic aioli. Looking for a vegetarian option? The Gondola Garden Wrap does not disappoint. Gluten free options are also available.
Forage

Forage is poised to become a go-to for those seeking thoughtful, ingredient-driven fare. While details remain under wraps, its name suggests a menu that may lean into seasonal, local, foraged, or farm-fresh ingredients with imaginative flavor combinations.

Edwin at Alpen Rock

Edwin, located in Hotel Alpen Rock, is a prime example of refined mountain dining. The space balances elegance with the warmth of Breckenridge’s rustic roots. With an open-fire oven, seasonal and Colorado-inspired ingredients take center stage alongside pizzas and elevated entrées.

What to Order: Be sure to try one of the shareable open-fire pizzas, we recommend the Local Legend loaded up with elk, bison, and jackalope sausage or the Mountain Mushrooms topped with Chef’s roasted seasonal mushroom blend. For the main course, the Braised Bison Short Ribs are a standout dish and the Cauliflower “Steak” is a delicious vegetarian option. To drink, the Edwin’s Manhattan offers a sophisticated twist on a classic and for a unique, alcohol-free option order the Berm.
The S’more Shack

The S’more Shack is a playful, dessert-forward addition at the base of Peak 9. It’s built for those sweet cravings—gourmet s’mores, plus a selection of snacks. If you want a cozy, indulgent treat after skiing, this is your stop.

What to Order: While all the scratch made s’mores are delicious, we recommend The Elvis, featuring honey graham cookies. Banana marshmallow, peanut butter, and bacon bits and The Scout with honey graham cookies, vanilla marshmallow, chocolate ganache, caramel sauce and coconut flakes. Don’t forget to order a cup of their $5 Hot Chocolate to go with your sweet treat.
Bar Down Tavern

Bar Down Tavern is Breckenridge’s newest on-mountain restaurant, located inside the Grand Lodge on Peak 7. The space delivers a lively yet relaxed atmosphere where guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch, après, or dinner just steps from the Independence SuperChair. With hearty tavern fare, craft cocktails, and mountain-modern style, it’s poised to become favorite spot to refuel and unwind after a day on the slopes.

Check out their midweek Daily Deals from 6:00 PM to close with $10 margherita pizzas and $10 house margarita cocktails for Margherita Mondays, two entrees for the price of one on Two for Tuesdays, and half price bottles of wine for Wine Not Wednesday.
What to Order: The Chocolate and Banana Stuffed French Toast is the breakfast standout. The Shawarma Skewers, Mountain Melt sandwich with brie, arugula, prosciutto, roasted tomatoes, apples, balsamic reduction, and shaved red onion on ciabatta, or the Dolomite Chopped Salad are all top tier options for lunch or a light dinner. Looking for something a little heartier after a long day on the slopes? The Mediterranean Scampi is the way to go. Gluten free options and a kid’s menu are also available.
AllBertos Mexican Kitchen

AllBertos Mexican Kitchen brings authentic Mexican flavor and vibrant energy to Airport Road, taking over the former COA Cantina space. The new restaurant blends traditional recipes with a casual, welcoming atmosphere, offering everything from flavorful street tacos and burritos to hearty enchiladas and fresh salsas made daily. With generous portions, quick service, and a focus on quality ingredients, Allbertos is a delicious new addition to Breckenridge’s dining scene.

For your entree, try the Birria Plate featuring four slow-cooked tacos served with rich consommé for dipping or the Torta de Milanesa, a crispy breaded steak sandwich layered with lettuce, tomato, avocado, and house-made crema. For drinks, sip on one of their signature cocktails: the Big Strawberry or Mango, a 20 oz blend of Socorro Tequila Blanco, fresh fruit, lime, agave-orange nectar, and your choice of rim or the Canteritos, made with Socorro Tequila Blanco, fresh lime, orange, grapefruit soda, and Tajín on the rim, served in a traditional clay jarrito de barro.
El Perro Negro

El Perro Negro is Breckenridge’s bold new agave bar, blending modern Mexican-inspired flair with mountain-town energy. The name, which translates to “The Black Dog,” nods to the bar’s playful tagline — “where the strays go.” Inside, you’ll find an intimate, stylish space centered around tequila and mezcal–forward cocktails, designed for those who appreciate both craftsmanship and character in their drink.
