Lake and Mountain Living

Dillon

Try and imagine no Dillon Reservoir (Lake Dillon), but instead three rivers coming together where a trading post and clusters of cabins might have existed. This was the first site of Dillon real estate and the scene in the late 1800s, until Denver needed water storage in the high country. The town of Dillon had to relocate to the northeastern shore of the lake while the reservoir was completed in 1963. The result was drinking water for Denver, but also our community got the beautiful lake we know and love.
