Mike Krueger
Originally from Hartford, Connecticut, I graduated in 1986 from Williams College in Massachusetts with a B.A. in economics. After a year-long hiatus traveling throughout Asia and the South Pacific, I came to Colorado for the obligatory “one season” of skiing. One wife, two kids, seven investment properties, and twenty-five years later, I still refuse to think about an exit strategy. Life is very good in Breckenridge, Colorado! Moving to Breckenridge in 1989, I have consistently been one of the top-performing real estate brokers in all of Summit County. With over 500 transactions and well in excess of $190 million in sales volume, my understanding of the local market and the intricacies of real estate brokerage is unparalleled. I also self-manage all of my residential and commercial properties which enables me to provide professional, first-hand advice to people interested in the rental side of the business.

Some of my professional and educational accomplishments include being the U.S. Small Business Administration Young Entrepreneur of the Year, a past Colorado Registered Appraiser, a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), a Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE), a Graduate of the Realtor Institute (GRI), and an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR).
Having been incredibly fortunate to raise a beautiful family and run a very successful business in the area, I am also dedicated to contributing back to both the real estate profession and our local community. I volunteer many hours as Chairman of the Summit County Multiple Listing Service (MLS) that is used exclusively by the local brokerage community as well as the general public. I also volunteer as a class instructor for the Summit Housing Authority by teaching first-time homebuyers the ins and outs of real estate – from how the MLS system works and negotiating a contract to down payment assistance and legal implications.
On a more personal level, I am very involved in coaching both youth baseball and youth hockey to kids throughout Summit County. When I’m not helping people with real estate or volunteering my time to various organizations, you can usually find me with my wife and two children enjoying all the mountains have to offer, including playing tennis, alpine, telemark & Nordic skiing, golfing, water-skiing, hiking, mountain biking, camping ……. and playing hockey & baseball, of course!
