Shock Hill Homes For Sale
A Home On The Gondola Route
The gondola makes its first and only stop near Shock Hill homes for sale - coming or going between the Breckenridge Ski Resort and town. Any home in Shock Hill will be a short walk or ski away from a ride to shops or skiing.
Located on the first bench-like hill west of town, Shock Hill has a nice overlook onto Breckenridge. But what lies below isn't far, and it ís only minutes to walk down the trails or sidewalks to anything you need in town.
On top of Shock Hill, the land levels out for a bit, and Cucumber Creek meanders through wetland, which is habitat for birds, moose and other wildlife. Not far to the west, the terrain angles up again until it peaks along the Tenmile Range. On the prominent faces that make up this range are the ski runs of the Breckenridge ski resort. Above these: plenty of world-class sunsets.

Shock Hills Homes
Shock Hill homes were not developed until 2000, and the lots were highly valued when they came on the market, so all the homes are an up-scale, modern mountain design that received prior approval from the subdivision's Design Review Board before construction. Guidelines require a two-car garage and conformity to the platted building envelopes to insure continued view corridors for existing homes. The lots are large and so are the homes. In 2012, construction began on the largest home in the county in the Shock Hill subdivision.
Nordic ski trails circle the neighborhood, and the Cucumber Gulch Wildlife Preserve is along its border, so Shock Hill homes are insulated by nature, and connected by trails to the ski mountain, national forests and downtown Breckenridge. Ski, hike, bike or enjoy the wild flora and fauna from any home for sale in Shock Hill.
