Living on beautiful Tenmile Creek
In the spring, kayaking is possible on Tenmile Creek, and the stretch behind these condos is one of the best sections. Handy, but cold. Yes, the complex is called River Glen, but is only on the creek named after the mountain range that would run straight into it, if the range extended beyond Peak One (Peak Zero, Peak -1?). However, Tenmile Creek is one of Frisco's largest flowing waterways, and one of the prettiest in Summit County.
Hiking trails can easily be reached from River Glen by crossing Main Street and heading south to the Frisco bike path and beyond it to town open space and eventually Mount Royal or Peak One. West of the junction of Main Street and I-70 - not far from River Glen, is the Tenmile Creek Trail that is a long, gradual walk in nothing but forest for several miles. Connections can be made from this trail onto more trail through the Gore Range.
The bike path from here can lead riders to Breckenridge, to Copper Mountain and then over Vail Pass, or just around this northern edge of Lake Dillon and around it.
