Living in Frisco

Frisco is a walk-able mountain town, laid out outside of Tenmile Canyon at the base of Mount Royal and Peak 1 and the start of the Tenmile Range where Breckenridge lies at its end - near Peak 10. Chief Mountain, Buffalo rise up all around Frisco that was once a little less central when the junction of the county's rivers was over near Dillon. Lake Dillon took several years to fill, and Frisco remained a hidden gem and development slow. The town stayed condensed around Main Street and the perpendicular Summit Boulevard, with two on & off ramps to the nearby I-70. It's a convenient place and so little pockets of land right by Main Street were developed into efficient townhouse living.  This neighborhood is a great example, with a few single family homes, some town homes and multi-family dwelling buildings -- all small, easy to get in and out of by car, bike or foot.

RECREATION

It's very easy to get to the countywide bikepath or auxiliary paths through Frisco. Just across Main Street the path goes to Copper Mountain and on to the town off Vail and nearly uninterrupted to the Utah state line.  There is no alpine ski resort in Frisco but a free bus - avoids the parking hassles - go to and from Copper, Keystone or Breckenridge from Main Street. Marina on Lake Dillon is on the east end of Main Street. Hiking trails begin in any direction. The best Nordic ski resort in the county is on the east end of Frisco
