U.S. Pro Cycling Challenge Information on Breckenridge Stage 5 Event

Breckenridge Hits The Big Time Hosting The Stage 5 Finish Of The US Pro Cycling Challenge on Main Street!

This event is going to be A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

The USA Pro Cycling Challenge, running from August 22-28, 2011, is a grueling, 600 mile, 7-day race through the most majestic and treacherous terrain Colorado and the Rocky Mountains have to offer. 16 international teams. 128 of the gutsiest riders. One great race.

The Tour De France top three finishers are confirmed to race in this epic cycling event! Cadel Evans, Andy Schleck and Frank Schleck will headline the race along with Top American Rider (Colorado's Own) Tom Danielson and Italian Ivan Basso.

Don't miss the chance to watch this inaugural race that is rumored to be the biggest spectator event in Colorado history and quite possibly one of the largest sporting events to take place in the United States!

Timing:
Saturday, August 27. Race will depart Steamboat at 10am and arrive in Breckenridge between 2:45pm and 3:15pm.

August 27th Breckenridge Stage 5 Finish Course:
The Stage 5 route will start in Steamboat Springs. Cyclists will come down Highway 9, past Green Mountain Reservoir and through the town of Heeney. Riders will then pass through Silverthorne, Dillon and head right over Swan Mountain Road. They will proceed left onto Highway 9 heading around Park Avenue in Breckenridge to end up on the south end of town. From there, they will head northbound with a race to the Main Street, Breckenridge finish through the heart of town. Read more about the 7-day race route here.

Pets, Road Closures and Lodging Deals:
