2020 sales through October 31st brought stats none of us saw coming. Like the rest of the world, we have been shocked this year by circumstances never before encountered. Knowing the Breckenridge real estate market fared better than most back in 2008, we could only be cautiously optimistic. When public health allowed real estate showings to resume this past June, we were more than pleased to see buyers returning, but never expected to see the surprising gains reflected in the October stats report.

The snow is continuing to fall in Summit County. It is the one of the best starts to a ski season in years. Along with the great snow, are great month end statistics for Breckenridge and Summit County.

In Breckenridge, the market is continuing to grow. At the end of November, the residential market in Breckenridge was ahead of 2012 by 21 percent. In 2012, there were only 496 residential properties sold, year-to-date. Since the beginning of 2013, 601 residential properties have sold. For the month of November, the total number of residential properties sold was slightly below November 2012. In November 2013, there were 29 single family homes sold; 4 duplexes sold; 22 condos sold; and 5 townhomes sold. In addition to the positive outlook of properties…
