Murder Mystery Dinner Details:
The Breckenridge Festival of Film presents a night of murder, mystery and delicious dining. The evening kicks off at 6 p.m. tomorrow night, Saturday, March 27, with appetizers and a time to ‘meet the cast’, followed by dinner at 7 p.m. This Murder Mystery dinner features an old west theme with a New Orleans style twist, all taking place Top of the World Restaurant at the Lodge and Spa in Breckenridge.

The cast consists of local celebrity actors led by Director, Chris Daly. Past year’s casts have included “Brecklebrities” such as Mayor, John Warner who recalled of last year’s Murder Mystery dinner, “Ahhhh, the Murder Mystery Night, a great interactive event which is as much fun for the cast as it is for the audience. I had a lot of fun (perhaps too much fun) performing last year,” John Warner, Mayor, Town of Breckenridge.

This night of murder and mystery is a fundraiser for the Breckenridge Festival of Film. Guests are encouraged to dress in old west attire if they so desire. The price for the evening is $50 per person and includes Cajun-style dinner, the show and 2 bottles of wine per table of eight. Tables of eight can be purchased for $320, savings of $10 per person. “Not only is this an amazing evening of unique entertainment in Summit County, this is a great collaboration of the arts, bringing together live performance with the Film Festival, and giving the audience a chance to participate throughout the night” noted Dawna Foxx, Executive Director of the Breckenridge Festival of Film.

The Plot
A Cajun comes to Summit County! Its the spring of 1888 in the tiny community of ‘Silverhorne’, located between the prosperous mining town of ‘Frickenridge’ and the Grand River. ‘Silverhorne’ has no gold and all the work hands have traveled up the Blue to find their fortune. ‘Silverhorne’ is the northern terminus of the Denver & Rio Grande Railway line. There are only a dozen commercial buildings still standing and the most notable is a hotel/restaurant hotel called the Red Goose. Up in the hills is Bear Claw’s cabin. Tonight Bear Claw has rented the town hall and is holding a reception for his new, unmet, mail–order bride, arriving on the 3 p.m. train from Denver - all the way from New Orleans. Will she be on the train? Will she jump off as it stops in ‘Frickenridge’ and forgo this marriage?
