For nearly 60 years, the National Repertory Orchestra has helped to prepare young musicians for their respective musical careers in the heart of Breckenridge and Summit County. The NRO is a fellowship that provides a high level of musical experience for both performers and the community while upholding the mission of “Changing Lives Through Music”. Each year 1,000 musicians between 18 and 29 years old from all over the county audition to be selected a become a part of the NRO. The NRO is a national leader in preparation for careers in music. After attending NRO, alumni are employed by nearly every professional orchestra in the United States and many around the world as the musical program is highly regarded and successful.
The NRO is officially in residence for the summer with the kick-off of the season taking place this past weekend. Many concerts take place at the Breckenridge Riverwalk Center with events scattered throughout Summit County, and details can be found on the NRO website. There is truly something for everyone - date night, family night, kids events and more. Be sure to make the NRO a part of your summer fun. We feel extremely lucky to have the NRO in Breckenridge and Summit County, enriching our community and changing lives through music.
