Built to fill in a small pockets of undeveloped land on the north end of Breckenridge, Bison Crossing is a subdivision of just five condos, two or three of which are being used for commercial purposes. But the unbeatable location makes any Bison Crossing condo for sale something to consider. Located a driveway off Main Street these aren’t secluded Summit County cabins in the woods but are extremely handy for hiking over to the gondola.
The northern end of Main Street is more residential, and closer to the gondola and therefore access to Peaks 8 & 7 as well as being quieter than the south end. Several great restaurants and shops are located on this side of town as well. The southside with its bars, restarants, the hockey rink are within half a mile walk or a short free-bus or trolley ride. The free countywide transportation system - Summit Stage - has its Breckenridge hub near the gondola, so Copper Mountain, Keystone or Frisco are no-drive options from Bison Crossing.
Another block to the north is City Market, the only supermarket in Breckenridge, and it easily accessed by the bike or pedestrian path that lies on the west side of Main, just out the door of any Bison Crossing condo.

Architectural Style

Bison Crossing has a homey looking Main Street facing condo, and some other were built behind it, facing a walkway perpendicular to Main Street and another unit across this walkway.  Plenty of drive-by and walking traffic during the day on Main for commercial purposed, but the living areas are tucked onto the alley side.

In addition to being adjacent to the bike path and the gondola, there is also a skyway that is maintained from the ski mountain to town. It finally runs under the road into the gondola parking lot, and a fun way to get home to Bison Crossing. The gondola runs winter and summer so the hiking opportunities extended. The Peaks Trail, a 10-mile hike on rolling hills starts at the base area of Peak 7 and continues to Frisco with offshoots onto the Miners Creek and Gold Hill Trails.   The Breckenridge Rec Center with indoor and a clay tennis court, pools, track and other fitness space is a few blocks down the bike path, or on the free bus route. The free bus has routes up Baldy Mountain, out to Tiger Road, and on to Frisco and can carry bikes.
