Breckenridge and Summit County Real Estate Market Statistics | September 2015

As we approach the end of the Breckenridge real estate selling season, the local market statistics indicate we had a favorable summer this year compared to years past. August and September 2015, were both remarkable. The number of properties sold and dollar volume sold outperformed anything else on record.  Year-to-date, the total number of residential properties sold in Breckenridge totaled 517 compared to only 454 for the same time period in 2014.  This year has outperformed the previous year by almost 14 percent.  Even though the number of showings continues to dwindle, down 11.5 percent for the month of September, residential properties in the area continue to sell.  In most sectors of the residential market, the average sales price has increased, year-to-date and most Sellers' are achieving a 96 percent sale price/list price ratio. The number of active listings in the MLS is a great indicator on how the market is doing.  Currently, we have the demand to call Breckenridge home, but very little inventory to choose from. Closing out the summer months, there are only 333 active Breckenridge properties, compared to 452 in 2014.

And the Summit and Park Counties numbers are not too shabby either.  Year-to-date, the market has surpassed 2014 by 19 percent.  There are currently 902 active properties, compared to 1,354 in 2014 in Summit and Park Counties.  Each month,  Breckenridge Assoicates Real Estate compiles a full report of the most recent statisitics from MLS data.  It is a great time to invest in the perfect mountain property before the snow starts to pile up!  Please contact your Realtor at Breckenridge Associates Real Estate to learn about real estate in Breckenridge and Summit County, Colorado.
