Park County is located 20 minutes outside of Breckenridge and home to
Alma,
Fairplay,
Como and
Hartsel. The two closest
towns to Breckenridge are the bedroom communities of Alma and
Fairplay. Alma is the highest incorporated town in North America and
Fairplay is the center of Park County’s government, located at the
intersection of Highway 9 and Highway 285.

Skiing & Snowboarding Access from Park County
Breckenridge Ski Resort is
approximately a 20 minute drive from Park County and is the closest ski
area as well as one of the top ski resorts in North America. With nearly
2,400 acres of terrain and 155 trails to choose from, Breckenridge Ski
Resort is situated at a base elevation of 9,600 feet. Enjoy the spectacular
snow Colorado is known for along with easy access to and from town and
every desired vacation amenity, including spectacular shopping and dining
on Main Street.

Golfing Access from Park County
The Town of Breckenridge boasts the only jack Nicklaus-designed 27 hole
Golf Club – featuring the
Elk, Beaver and Bear Nines. The golf course is situated in a beautiful
mountain valley at 9,324 feet. The ball goes farther and straighter at this
elevation since there is less air resistance. Pleasant summer temperatures
and lots of sunshine make the Breckenridge Golf Course the perfect place
to play in the mountains.
