Breckenridge Terrain Level of Difficulty
Easiest – 14%
Breckenridge has some of the best learning terrain of any ski area. Skiers and snowboarders can find most beginner trails located off Chair 7 on Peak 8, including a portion of the 3.5 mile Four O’Clock run, the longest trail at Breckenridge, and the Quicksilver Super6 and Alifts on Peak 9.
More Difficult – 31%
Breckenridge is an intermediate skier and snowboarder’s paradise. Peak 7 is home to seven gently rolling more difficult runs, accessed by a sixpassenger SuperChair. Claimjumper is a local’s favorite, located on Peak 8. Other favorites include Northstar and Crescendo. Two high-speed SuperChairs on Peak 9 access over 10 intermediate trails.
Most Difficult – 19%
Duke’s Run on Peak 8 offers a nice combination of both bump and groomers. Take the T-Bar up to Pika, Ptarmigan, White Crown and Forget-Me-Not for wide-open bowl skiing and riding and awe-inspiring views. Peak 9’s Peerless is a great place to learn how to master bumps. And, bump masters can appreciate 6-Chair, especially on a powder day. Take a quick ride on the Falcon SuperChair on Peak 10 and enjoy advanced intermediate groomers, steep and deep bump runs and legendary glades.

Expert – 36%
Peak 7 offers vast steep skiing and riding without the trees at a 45 degree pitch. Peak 8 has great alpine vistas from the Horseshoe Bowl (lift access) or Imperial Bowl via the Imperial Express SuperChair (the highest life in North America). Hike to Lake Chutes for a 55 degree pitch and extreme terrain, including 10 and 80 feet of cornice, rocks to jump and fresh tracks. Peak 9 is tree skiing and riding at its best. The Windows is an easy hike from the Patrol Hut at the top of Peak 9. The South Side of Peak 10 has fat bumps, hidden kickers and glades.

Golfing at the Breckenridge Golf Course

The Town of Breckenridge boasts the only jack Nicklaus-designed 27 hole Golf Club – featuring the Elk, Beaver and Bear Nines. The golf course is situated in a beautiful mountain valley at 9,324 feet. The ball goes farther and straighter at this elevation since there is less air resistance. Pleasant summer temperatures and lots of sunshine make the Breckenridge Golf Course the perfect place to play in the mountains.
